62. Magic

100 Theme Challenge number 62 "Magic" featuring my oc Altros' dragon form!


I have said for a while now that I would draw his dragon form... and I finally did!

Altros is capable of conjoring and controlling all natural elements--fire, water, ice, wind, lightning, ground, stone, etc. That is what the orbs he is holding in this picture represent. The grey/clear crystal in his tail represents light and shadow. He doesn't actually have light or shadow magic (though it is a natural element, in magic terms it is usually "holy" or "dark" which is unnatural).

His paws are too small, that is really the only thing that bothers me. I also could have put more detail into his individuals scales (sharper highlights, texture lines) but I didn't feel like it. If I ever do a scaley dragon for a gift or trade or whatever () I will definitely include such detail, but this was just for fun.
