Response for quest 41: "Battle Lady Sparks."

While exploring the Fairy Playground on Xandy Island, Tailus encounters an eccentric woman who calls herself Lady Sparks (he should probably know that she's a gym leader, but he doesn't keep up with that stuff).  Eev runs to Sparks and collapses in her arms, feigning exhaustion--but really, he just thinks that Sparks is an easy target to bribe some attention from.  She obviously loves electric pokemon.  Lady Sparks, believing Tailus has abused Eev in some way, coyly challenges him to a battle, with Eev as the prize.

Normally, Tailus wouldn't even consider such a ludicrous proposal, but of the few ways to irritate him, Sparks found it.  Looks like battle is inevitable...

But doesn't Eev get a say in all this?!
